The title of this work derives from Don McLean's ballad "Starry Starry Night".  Midway through the narrative of the life of Vincent VanGogh, we hear:

"Vincent,

This world was never

Meant for one

As beautiful as you."

The work recalls VanGogh's masterpiece "Starry Night," 1889, on permanent display at MOMA-NYC.  Ironically, VanGogh considered the image to be one of his less successful renditions.  It has gained international acclaim as one of his most-recognized and most-loved works.
